They always say the home of the free because of the brave but if we don’t have immediate family and friends in the military or service then do we really understand are we really thankful? I am not going to sit around acting like I am such a advocate for the troops but I have realized I do take this free life for granted I wake up and live my life without realizing what others do so I can live this life. I stress about cakes, work, money, but I don’t have to go to work and put my life on the line everyday, I don’t have to go to work and leave my family in fear I may not come home. I feel I need to be more thankful for this life I have been given. I am a woman I have rights and respect, I can vote, I can wear what I want these things seem so silly but I get to do these things because we are free and people fight for my freedom. So today while you have the day off and are bbq-ing, hanging by the pool, enjoying family and friends remember the reason for the holiday. This week and from here on out I am going to make more of an effort to show my thankfulness to the men and woman who fight for our freedom and not take this life in America for granted.
Happy Memorial Day and Thank you to all the men and woman who put their lives on the line for us daily!
